Carlos Ramos continues the proud tradition of Yucatan filigree today in Merida, Mexico. His craft was learned from his father, Leonardo Ramos, who was a great master featured in the book "Great Masters of Mexican Folk Art" published by Banamex. Sr. Carlos Ramos has produced filigree pieces for many notable people including Pope John Paul, the cardinals of Mexico, Princess Caroline of Monaco, the Crown Prince of Japan and President George Bush.
